Course content

The AS course comprises a performance of devised drama by a small group, externally moderated. Two set texts, and one theatre producer, are studied in a practical way. Preparation for the written paper is by theatre visits and analysis.

The A2 course involves performance of a play text. Students can opt to act, design or direct, and it is externally moderated. An unseen paper is based on the study of two set texts, with commentary and analysis.

You should have a lively interest in the theatre, enjoy reading plays, devising original drama, and be willing to take part in extensive groupwork.
