A2 - three units (Oral discussion of issues, written coursework, listening, reading and writing).

5 GCSEs at grade C or above

Course content

Students' understanding of and communication in spoken and written Spanish will be developed. Students will increasingly use more accurate, complex and varied Spanish. They will develop critical insights into contemporary Spanish society and its culture and historical background, using authentic Spanish. There will be some translation, and grammar will be an important feature.

AS level general topics include health, transport, media, relationships, leisure and business. Among A2 topics are the environment, politics and the European Union, plus a choice of specialist topics.
