Course content
Sociologists are interested in investigating and understanding the society in which we live. A range of social processes and structures will be studied. These include the Family, Crime and Deviance, Education and how they interact with social class, age, gender and ethnicity.
An understanding of theory and research methodology is central to the course, and students may take a coursework module at both AS and A2. By studying Sociology, students will develop their understanding of the social world and of important contemporary issues.
