5 GCSEs at grade C or above, with a grade B or above in Latin GCSE

Course content

GCSE Latin prepares students well for Latin A Level, as all the essential grammar has been covered, and the set text work is similar to that done at GCSE. One set text is studied for AS and one for A2. Students answer questions on two passages, translate two passages and write a short essay. You will increase your knowledge of the language and culture of the Romans, whilst developing your powers of literary criticism, logical reasoning and command of English.
