Course content

This is a demanding and thus exciting course for students who have a genuine interest in film. At AS level students focus on how meaning is made apparent through a wide study of, mainly, Hollywood Genre films. The practical element will involve story boarding or writing a screen play extract. The third paper, FS3, will involve the study of particular time in British Film History.

For A2 students produce a research based study of a specific auteur (director) of their choice and study a range of World Cinema texts. Practical tasks might include Film Journalism, Screenwriting or Video-making.
