Course content

AS units comprise : The Modern novel (study of one contemporary novel); Shakespeare (study of one play); Texts in context ( a study of one work of drama and one work of poetry, from the perspective of audience response and interpretation, as well as contextual influences).

A2 units comprise : Text Study; Thematic critical comparison of two texts; responses to unprepared texts based on one topic, eg. First World War novels, plays and poems.
