5 GCSEs at grade C or above, with preferably B in a Science or a BB in Double Science

Course content

The AS course has three modules : The Chemistry for Life (comprising of the Elements of Life and Developing Fuels); The Chemistry of Natural Resources (comprising of the Atmosphere and the Polymer Revolution); Skills for Chemistry - development and evaluation of the major practical skill areas through an assessed practical.

The A2 course has three modules Chemistry of Materials (comprising of Medicines, Designer Polymers, Steel and Engineering Proteins.

Chemistry by Design - (comprising of Aspects of Agriculture, the Oceans and Medicines by Design); Individual Investigation - plan, implement and report an investigative study of your choosing (within boundaries of course!)
