Course content
A BTEC First Diploma is a practical work related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic work situations, activities and demands. It introduces you to the employment area you have chosen and provides a good basis to go on to a more advanced work-related qualification.
What is the course structure?
The course is made up of six units - three core units that everyone takes and three specialist units.
How is the course assessed?
All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded.
It is equivalent to 4 GCSE's A* - C

You take three specialist units from:
• The Body in Sport
• Sport Leadership Skills
• The Sports Performer
• Work Based Project
• Practical Sport
